Ride Sunday morning 11th?
Hi folks,
Being a beginner I don't really know where to suggest...so wondered if anyone wanted to ride Sunday morning and can suggest a place?

Hi Tanya,
There is a single-track trail that circumnavigates Narrabeen Lake, which is really quite flat and i'm sure suitable for the most noob beginner. I myself haven't completed the trail and have only ridden the Wakehurst Parkway side of the trail (there are a couple of short sections where a short ride on the side of the road is needed to link up the trail).
On this side of the trail there is a section which can take you under the road and up by Deep Creek Reserve. At the back of this reserve is a small wooden bridge which leads to another bigger steel bridge. Go right at the end of the steel bridge and take the right when you come to the first fork in the trail. This takes you along a nice little single track with a few little fallen log obstacles/bridges and some nice 'rainforesty' type vegetation. There is a second fork about halfway along this trail (at some rock boulders on your left). The left takes you up some more technical terrain and which is Deep Creek trail, which leads up to Morgan Road firetrail heading up to Oxford Falls. The right (which i prefer, and suggest you take) continues along with similar, fairly simple single track and a few little obstacles to hone your skills on. This winds its way till it comes to the bottom of a steep little hill which it starts to climb. I haven't been the whole way up this trail, so i'm not too sure where it heads, though i assume it eventually connects up with the Deep Creek/Morgan Road Firetrail. Although it sounds like there are a few different ways to go, you would have difficulty in getting lost here as the trails are all fairly short and recognisable. Have Fun!
I may or may not be available for a Sunday morning ride.. i have a party to go to Sat night.. plus some bike service to do (if i get around to it), though would be happy to catch up for a ride sometime. You can msg me on my mobile in my profile.
is always a favourite you know! If you want to call me on my mobile, my girlfriend Kristina would proably be more than happy to ride with you tomorrow...I am working - OR you could go along to the jumping training day...

Soulrider - I ride around narrabeen lake quite a bit so know that well, thanks for the tips though. Christine - I've got to be somewhere for 11 so Terrey Hills might be pushing it. I may wander in to Manly Dam and just do sections that I need to work on. Probably going to be there around the 8am, 8.30 mark. If anyone is interested let me know....or I will just please myself for time.

Hi Tanya
Yep I'd be keen for a lap around Manly.
What time exactly and meeting place?
Ben
What a coincidence. Some of us were chatting about a Manly Dam lap just this afternoon. Although I am not sure what time others were expecting this to kick off.
I will be doing a Manly Dam lap at, say, 5:00 pm? The offer is open for all attendees and skill levels. Hope some of you can make it.
( Dyego, is this time okay with you? )
Thanks, Liam.
and I got antsy and went there this afternoon in anticipation...and just did the technical single track bit...maybe Oxford Falls instead. I note there's rolling/jumping/whatever practice on in Belrose in the morning also. Anyway, Ben, I'll get back to you on your mobile to arrange..and make sure a change of trail is OK. Will park at the top of the firetrail and if anyone wants to join, I'll be there at 8.30, 0410 191 313 let me know if you're coming.
Cheers,
T
Haven't ridden Oxford Falls yet but keen to give it a go. I'll see you there in the morning.
Ben
Start form the public school???
Dyego
it's been changed to Oxford Falls now. You'll be on your own if you go to Manly
Ben
Dyego - I think Liam is still up for Manly Dam at 5pm! Liam you really should not have crashed my thread about a morning ride and thrown in arrangements for an afternoon one! Confusing!!
