i will be there with my riding partner from the last 8hr at killingworth.
We are definately not the fastest, you could best describe us as "consistently average"

Looking forward to this one and its only 30-35mins drive from my place, think i will drive down on the sat and register so i dont have to line up on the sunday.

Don

leximack's picture

this should also give a good look at the possible track for the september 12hr for those interested aswell.

Flynny's picture

The 8hr track tends to have a little more of the techi stuff in it than the 12hr does.

mtbasn.alex's picture

Hey all,
I will be there racing in th WSMTB junior 1 team.
The track is looking really good a little water damaged from the last couple of rainny weeks
but is still an awesome track. I was down there today and there is a real good flowing track with
nothing impossible to do ( anyone can have fun ) probably about 35 min laps on average. I do 26 mins.
ok see you all there.
Alex

leximack's picture

35min average, that would make about a 9km lap i guess
Hey Alex - did you do the 4hr earlier on in the yr, is it a similar track as i really enjoyed that one

Don

mtbasn.alex's picture

Yes i did the 4hr the track will have the same features as that race but with
a little more packed in. The track is around 11.5km. You will love this course
if you liked the 4hr. Yarramundi always puts on a good track!!!

leximack's picture

cool, thanks fot that, looking forward to it

Matt's picture

Re Coffs, I'm not doing that so not quite as keen as I look! Still I reckon a few days is more than enough to get those legs going again, 'sonly 100k's... think how bloody fit you'll be after both and the bragging rights ;-}

Don't make me do it on my own (sobs/smiles)

TTFN,
Matt.

Bruce's picture

I will be there with my trusty team team mate, looking forward to this after missing out on killingworth.

ar_junkie's picture

Put me down as tentative...
Bruce - is that your team mate or team team mate?
Eye-wink

evan's picture

Put me down as a maybe.

Evan

Bruce's picture

I should wear my glasses more often, thought it was just my bad eye sight making it look like I had typed it twice, whoops.

leximack's picture

looks like nobmob may have a few teams entered
we will have to make sure we set up in the same area

Don

Matt's picture

Ev, AR if you fancy joining up as a three that'd be great. Just let me know and I can put the entry in.

BTW I also do a fine line in Ali G impersonation so Ev it's up to you to follow suit and come sporting your finest shell suit for a lap ;-}.

ar_junkie's picture

Yo yo knee-grow... =;o)
Who's Phat?

evan's picture

LOL, that gave me a great chuckle.

pikey's picture

Ev looks way Cool!

Matt's picture

The certainly is a fine shell suit, can you add a goatee too?

evan's picture

Good news, if a spot is still going count me in.

Evan

Matt's picture

GAZZA's picture

what have i done?
see you crazy kids there. in my pursuit for ultimate fittness ive gone it solo. oh well, at least its laps so i can rest whenever i like.dont think ill do any more races for a while after this one though!

ar_junkie's picture

Just go epic to epic... that will ensure a good base for your overall fitness Eye-wink

And while you're at it, how about sorting out your broadband...

[ducks for cover]

GAZZA's picture

Oooh, that hurt. The saga continues with the net thing. Its just getting funny now. Its uncanny how many things can go wrong. They sent me my fifth modem yesterday after id called specifically to cancel it.

Stuart M's picture

selling second hand modems, you've got enough now for a good supply. Says he well out of arms reach.

Bruce's picture

Quite a good nobmob turn out yesterday, it was nice to see so many familiar faces.

Evan & Shaun teamed up for the first time, as always Shaun gave 110% but I was truly blown away at Evans performance, getting faster every time we see you, top work mate!

Gazza went solo, completing 9 laps i think, glad your in our 24hr team Gaz we will need you!

Don & friend were out & about all day, it was nice chatting to you at the interchange Don, made the day go that little bit better.

And then there was Butterfingers(Carolin) & myself teaming up once again, unfortunately Carolin broke her chain on the first lap, but full credit to her she ran back to the interchange to make the change, fixed her chain while I was out & was waiting for me with the usual big smile at the end of my lap. Best team mate ever!

The surprise of the day was seeing Liam turn up after his own race elsewhere to give support, champion effort.

Thanks to everyone for a great day.

leximack's picture

was a good day yesterday, we had a few mechanicals,a few minor stacks, but nothing major. With the rain coming we decided to call it quits at about 1.30 after about only 7 laps (5 for me, 2 for my mate), i enjoyed the course though, couple of climbs, lots of single track in both up and down direction, few technical bits, a bit of everything.
Was good chatting with you a few times at transition Bruce, sorry i didnt get a chance to chat with the others.
Catch you all next time
Don

alchemist's picture

Fun track,(although I counted 8 climbs Eye-wink - the hurty ones all being the first half of the course). No major accidents (it's not unsual for someone to break a collar bone at and enduro evetn out there). A few scratches and a busted ankle from someone who really should have known better than to be drinking where she was). One lap on the 'crosser (which was enough). I'll post up the track on motionbased tonight

leximack's picture

motionbased profile attached

i had it 9ish kms and 341m climbing per lap.
Don

evan's picture

What a top day. Had an absolute blast, thanks all.
Garry you are an absolute legend for doing the 8hr solo, my hat off to you.
Shaun, cheers for being a great partner. I'm looking forward to doing this series next year.
Thanks for the performance compliment Bruce. 10 months ago I quit smoking and picked up biking, the results are starting to show.

Good to see Liam show for some support.

For those that are interested, some results

Flynny's picture

I think I passed Caro with her broken chain just before the switch backs leading up to the finish area, Still smiling!

Had fun on the first couple of laps but lack of fitness had me hurting by the end of lap4

I need to ride more

Rob's picture

Passing a girl with a broken chain? Flynny, you should be ashamed! Sticking out tongue

alchemist's picture

Don't forget there's still one more round this year - and it's at Sparrow Hill, Canberra.

Flynny's picture

I was shivering as I left home that morning, does that count?

Besides I did ask if she was OK and she said yes, I didn't have my chain breaker.

I got a gps plot but I forgot to push start until I was into the trail a bit, and we were transitioning at the halfway mark...

He's in a very serious category - Old Farts Threesomes. Sticking out tongue
