High calibre elite

As I was finishing the last few kms of the Kowalski 100 yesterday (towards the back of the pack - hours after the elites finished!) I thought to myself - how cool would it be to be cheered home by the elites?

I crossed the finish line, feeling sore but satisfied in my achievement. I looked up, and saw none other than the great Brett Bellchambers standing there cheering home the backmarkers. I've seen Brett cheering on riders in other races around Canberra as well - even when he's not participating.

Not to take anything away from any other riders or elites - if I had finished hours earlier I'd be on my way home too. Just goes to show what a champion bloke he is.
