2008 World Champs Car Pool - Sydney to Canbera loners unite
For all those wanting to watch the World Champs 30th - 31st August but just don't have a crew to make it happen.

We will leave early Saturday morning and return Sunday night.
Accomodation options are to either camp or find a reasonable and cheap motel/lodge/hostel
We can either take available cars and divide up the people interested, or alternatively we could hire a minivan for 8 people ($60-$80 per day) and trailer for bikes ($20-$30 per day). (I organised a Minivan and trailer for the Worlds in NZ a few years back and it worked well)
The goal is to have a whole bunch of fun with new riders and watch some killer riding from the pros.
Lets see how things go... once we get more than 4 people interested here, we'll make the event official.

I would like to formally register my interest.
I definitely like the idea of a mini-van and trailer. It would probably work out cheaper than individual cars too i guess. If we go cars I've got a Clio that can take two people + 2 bikes, or 4-5 people + zero bikes.
My personal preference for accomodation would be a cheap motel somewhere instead of camping, just because it bloody cold. Having said that i can, as Chopper would say, "Harden The %@%# Up" and be a camper if thats what happens.

You can count me in too. And i have the same car setup as starship if needed and my accomo preferences are basically the same. All good. I reckon you should post this ride captainmueke!
I'll be leaving early Saturday morning and coming back Sunday afternoon / evening. Can pick up anywhere from Manly down through Sydney. It will be a free ride (if you excuse the pun) as work will pay for the petrol. I am officially a wimp though as I have already booked accommodation.
