Anyone interested in doing some fun riding on Saturday morning? If so, where? Red Hills? Oxford Falls? Menai? Time would be early morning, starting around 7:30 a.m.

I would be keen for a play at Red Hill, though just as happy with the other choices.

Somewhere close to home would be good
Menai would be good over the hols
RH or OF gets my vote if I can make it

christine's picture

would be fun...i was there last weekend and had a total ball...

i live on the n beaches now this talk is very appealing...are there xc options at oxy or just the dh runs?

christine's picture

there are XC at oxford falls as well...

Although i've never ridden withj any of you guys before I could be keen for this one, as i'd like to shown either spot since i've never ridden there before... Will depend on how early i can sneak away from a xmas party I dont really want to be at on Friday night... They could be my famous last words...

but if i am lucky enough to make the ride, where is the meeting point? will the ride be posted?

cheers,
Sean.

up drunk - we (read Lozza and Christine) do sometimes!!! yes, once Liam has decided i expect he will post it...

Hi all, I will post a ride for Saturday morning when there is consensus about the trail we should ride on. Possibly Red Hill has the inside running at the moment. Don't worry Christine, seeing you will surely be having an 'anti-social' evening the night before, I will not rely on you being there. Eye-wink

Dangersean, you have written "noob" in your post - dare I ask - are you proficient in some technical riding on rough trails? Or wish to have a go? If so, great!! But to let you know, rough and technical trails are the sort we will be visiting. Red Hill can be particularly brutish for the faint hearted. But they are lots of fun and leave places like Terrey Hills for dead. Smiling

..that was totally uncalled for!!!! meanie! and as a matter of fact my current plan is for a quiet Friday night seeing a girlfriend so that I can ride and be sober... as long as its Red Hill!!! Sunday morning may be a bit more iffy in the sober stakes...possibly... Smiling

Noob meant noob to you guys... no troubles on tech rides... or having a go at them anyway... I can bang a dam lap in just over 35 minutes if that is anything to guage by? p.s. no trouble dusting myself off and continuing when i happen to crash either!

lozza6's picture

yes, its been known to happen...

hmm... so much to do in just 1/2 a weekend...

Do I ride at this then go to an all day bucks event (not Buck) and then rock up to the sunday morning dam ride and then fly to LA after that..

hmm something has gotta give...

Little-Ditty's picture

Christine - you know I meant no insult. Eye-wink

Dangersean - so it's easy then, you'll love it! Bring your arm and leg armour. You will probably need it. Laughing out loud

christine's picture

and you know me so it was a fair call!!! I am trying to be less social... sort of!
Lozza - have you gone soft while travelling? how hard is the decision? you ride then go to the bucks day feeling good because of all those happy endorphines and then worry about Sunday when it arrives...

lozza6's picture

travelling has gotten me 6kg softer.. and a few belt notches rounder! Laughing out loud

Sticking out tongue

Will do my best to make it to as many weekend events as possible though, otherwise it wont be until February...

christine's picture

the best way to justify eating from now until February would be to ride as much as possible hey! anyway, we haven't seen you for AGES, you are fun to ride with!

Bernd's picture

... another 6kg softer, you will land soft next time, even without backpack!!!!
hahaha

What about Narrabeen Lakes first and then ride to Red Hill for some fun.

I'll let you decide on the actual route?

Beany's picture

Liam why don’t you make it a Chrissy dress-up ride. That would be so much fun and I would be sure to come.

I can see myself as the Little Drummer Boy “Come they told me, pa rum pum pum pum”. Maybe you can come in a Santa suit and go “ho-ho-hoing” while I beat my drum.

See if you can get Bruce to be your helper, oh what a merry, merry time we could have.

Hot Rod's picture

Liam my vote would be for a social dress-up ride too.

A Christmas fun ride on Saturday - that sounds great Liam, count me in.

Go Big or Go Home

lozza6's picture

my vote is Red Hill Smiling

christine's picture

decorate our bikes?!!

ar_junkie's picture

A ride that includes 'dress up' is exactly what Liam had in mind...
Eye-wink

then Liam can air his lycra...

I might even bring a Hot Toddy for after the ride.

ScottM's picture

Do eeet.

Caro's picture

I thought you guys would do the dress up x-mas ride around the dam on Sunday??
Having said that... the image of everybody in armour AND dressed up in x-mas stuff would probably make a great laugh! Laughing out loud

VC's picture

If it's red hill then i might be keen....love that place...!
