Heathcote National Park update for 23 May

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Ride involves some roadwork so not for the purist however the road is the problem. Due to dumped asbestos in the Woronora Dam picnic area the road is closed from the south. However entering at the northern end from the National Park is OK. Track is dry apart from one or two areas. Be sure to keep the lake on your right else your gps might take you to non rideable tracks.

Ban on Helmet Cams at State Races

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

as per
http://www.rotorburn.com/forums/showthread.php?2...

"The Chief Commissar has just advised that helmet cams will not be permitted in qualifying/seeding or race runs at the Ourimbah State DH round this weekend."

We at NSWMTB believe that the UCI ruling on Helmet Cams not being permissible in Qualifying or Race runs is clearly aimed at protecting media rights at World Cup races.

MotoX riders on Ryland this afternoon

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Just finished riding Ryland track and came across 3 MotoX bikes half way in., Confronted them....wasn't too brave me on my own versus 3 guys on bikes however did point out they weren’t permitted to be there. The lead rider was very quick to tell me he had been riding in there for 10 years with no problems. They had no license plates on the bikes and no car or trailer parked on Mona vale rd. Their tracks seemed to come thru the linking trail to St Ives Showground. I can only imagine they park their trailer at St Ives Showground then come through the back into Ryland.
