Yellomundie slow then faster

When:
Sunday, 10 October, 2010 - 09:00
Ride Database Entry:
Yellomundee Regional Park
Meeting Point:

There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.

-33.663669, 150.656361 (Hawkesbury Rd)

A few laps of Yellomundie.

Looking to take the first lap slow through the technical sections having a few goes where necessary.

After this have a couple of quick laps for some for some good old fashioned fun.

All are welcome and feel free to ride faster or slower as you wish, its hard to get lost at Yellomundie. On the first lap I will make sure no-one gets left behind (I usually come last anyway!). My 15 yo will probably also be along, but somewhere up ahead on the track.

If the weather is looking dodgy the night before I'll make a post to say if its still on the night before.

-33.729425, 151.061926

A mate and I are planning on repeating a ride we did a few weeks back. Here's the GPS track from the last ride... . By the way it's called Crash! cos I stacked pretty hard after hitting a waterbump all wrong when coming back down the fire trail at the far end of the ride...

Scumming - West Head & Akuna Bay x 2 - Forgot about the Election

When:
Saturday, 21 August, 2010 - 08:30
Meeting Point:

Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.

-33.682365, 151.227937 (Terrey Hills Shops)

Looking to do 2 laps of West Head and Akuna Bay, maybe depending on how I am feeling a third.

Meet at Terry Hills shops for 8.30am.

I am going to ride up from North Willoughby via the Roseville Bridge etc.

I dont have intentions of it being a complete smashfest and have been feeling under the weather this week so If I am feeling rubbish will prolly bail after the first lap.

Pooh!

I had hoped to have time to get over to Yelllomundee this weekend but sadly that isn't going to be the case now.

Instead I'll be having a blast round the usual trails in Terrey Hills (Duck Hole/Center/Perimeter/Long aka. DH+C+P+L).

Pace will depend on who comes along, but am looking to take no more than 2h30 all up no matter what.

Late notice but thought I'd post this in case anyone else is fortunate enough to have the day off. I have not been on the mtb for about a month and haven't ridden any bike for about a week so this won't anything too quick but I do not intend to make many stops and those that I do make hopefully won't be for too long. Not 100% sure of the route as yet but something like http://nobmob.com/node/16497. Time is flexible but would like to give myself enough time to go until I cannot go any more.

Awaba multiple loops = at least 50km.

Below is a preview, click to read the full post
When:
Sunday, 8 August, 2010 - 10:30
Ride Database Entry:
Awaba State Forest
Meeting Point:

Just up Jenkins Road from corner with Mount Faulk Road.

-33.025069,151.45797

I have two reasons for organising this XC group ride.

1) I let out too much air from my rear shock by accident... I need to borrow someones shock pump. Anyone?
2) Training for the Angry Doctor.

I'm looking at achieving at least 50km of Awaba fun. Nothing too fast or strenuous. I'm not racing, just training. Stretching and eating breaks will be included every lap or two!

Manly Dam x2

When:
Sunday, 25 July, 2010 - 12:00
Ride Database Entry:
Manly Dam
Meeting Point:

King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.

-33.781501, 151.258115 (Manly Hydraulics Lab)

I'm looking to do a couple of laps and maybe a third, depending on how I feel and how damp the track.

Lap 1 will be at an easy training pace of around 45 minutes, looking to do non-stop. Lap 2 will be at social pace ie, with breaks to wait for folks to catch up / catch their breath.

Happy to have folks join for first or second laps. ETA for start of lap 2 would be 12:50.

I'll be away from a computer from 8:45am so use your judgement on the weather - if it's been raining on the day I won't be riding.

The Oaks Up & Back

When:
Saturday, 17 July, 2010 - 09:30
Ride Database Entry:
The Oaks
Meeting Point:

Glenbrook station carpark.

-33.769197, 150.622262 (Glenbrook Station Carpark)

I plan on doing The Oaks up & back as a training ride as the trails on the Beaches could do with more time to dry out. I am not sure of exactly how long but have put 4 hours as a guess.
