Rode some of this today as a recce for the Convict.

Shepard's Gully is a freeway all the way to the top. Could pretty much ride 4 abreast all the way. Much easier to appreciate the rock work on the older road alignment while grinding up than it is flying down Smiling

Been a few years since I last did the techy stuff from the top through to the Western Commission Track and it seems a bit rougher and narrowed-in than I remember. Could just be old-timer's disease... Usual stuff though, plenty of rock step-ups and roll downs, tricky line choices, sandy sections. Seems predominantly uphill in both directions!

Did some of the 68km course 8 mile track link across towards Wrights Creek for the first time. It's not used much, so there's a fair amount of leaf and stick litter and some loose little pinch climbs and drops. Turned around where it appeared to start going down, so no idea what the descent is like.
