Amber/Some Issues Hi All, the Dam is quite wet at the mo, a lot of statnding water on the majority of sections.
Do you have more information?
If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.

Most people will hopefully use common sense and stay away for a day or two...
But then on my commute this morning I see 3 guys all XC lycra'ed up unloading bling hardtails out of a Northside Avanti Plus van on Wakehurst Parkway all set to ride it in such conditions...

They should know better.

Just letting you know that you were observed setting up to ride Manly Dam today.
Riding the Dam in wet conditions is poorly regarded by the majority of the local mtb community, and does your reputation no good at all. Even though there is no official closure, it is expected that experienced riders should know to avoid the Dam when conditions are wet.
Further, you jeopardise our efforts at trail advocacy, not only by annoying the Manly Dam rangers, but by setting the wrong example to other riders.

May I suggest that you do as we do, and ride other trails such as Terry Hills that are more tolerant of wet weather riding. However if it is wet enough, even Terry Hills can be too wet to ride, and you should use appropriate judgement.
