went for a walk this arvo. Looks like the punters have been having a good old time up there. Some of the corners are blooooowwwwwwnnnnn out. Shame really. We will need to get in to repair. I reckon a couple of the corners ill need rock armoring. i'll add some pics later

Do you have more information?

Went for a walk sat saw two groups of moto's (5 bikes in total) having a great old time tearing it up

Is there any fencing around to stop them getting in there? If not there needs to be some sort or there won't be a track there to ride council might shut it down & there goes all your hard work .

to tell us about the POM on south side of Glenrock & where we can not ride-never when Motos chew the crap out of the place!!!

The only thing they can really do is patrol the area randomly. Council won't shut it down. It's NPWS land not council land.

what part of the trail was that photo taken, looks real bad

It disappoints me that people will ride when it was obviously going to be very wet.

We wont see these people at build days, they won't have put submissions in regarding the draft POM, and they probably won't actually ride bikes once they grow out of the fad. Really shits me to see the trails like that.

Sure it highlights areas that need work, but while we are retrofitting existing trail to the IMBA guidelines the trails won't be completely weather proof due to compromises made to stay in the trail alignment.

If i'm not wrong this is on upper kenny??

Upper kenny on the trail that bipasses the old pipe trail.

This bit of trail lies just below a dip in the road above the trail. Water run of from the road tends to funnel straight through a section about 3m's long.

I was shocked to see how many riders seemed to have been through there.

I took a pic of another section of trail that isn't seeing a great deal of traffic lately. I'll put up another thread that displays the damage that is done through riding on wet trails.

I drive past the car park at trail head all the time and on the weekend it doesn't seem to mater what the weather is rain, hail or shine there's always cars there i think its only a small percentage of riders that take notice of the web sites lighting system .I can understand people wanting to get out and shrewd trail but whats the point when your in six inch's of mud

put up big signs saying trails shutdown due to wet trails with NPWS & Glenrock Trail Alliance logos???

I've seen that works on a high traffic trail to ensure the motos stay out is to cut the trail between trees where the gap is too narrow for the motos' handlebars to fit through.

While not foolproof, it has been very effective to date at Kiwarrak near Taree. Of course, you need to block off the ways around the choke points and do the treatment frequently enough (every hundred metres if possible) that it drains the fun out of it for the motos.

They then get the sheets and go elsewhere. Smiling
