What a differance a day can make!!
This afternoon I went up for a look, rode down Gun Club to check it out. JTG is mostly good only a couple of spots in the new work with small puddles. Even went to the quarriesd - dry as! could only see tyre marks from earlier.

I think yesterday it must have been a case of rain on very dry not soaking in, with only the surface saturated it was a real mess.

Ended up riding back via Kenny's and through Bailey's, just a few puddles.

If it doesn't rain it will be all good tomorrow.

Do you have more information?

If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.

i think the JTG will always be sticky after rain. the first bit is prety much clay, it'll be a speedway (fast rolling) once it has been ridden for a few months, but i do think it will be sticky after heavy rain. There is nothing we can do about it (anymore than we have) i don't think. It's just an old road that has been graded down to clay.

Last night, only fairly light but worth waiting till at least this afternoon.

Should be ideal conditions for trailwork but NPWS aren't back till Wednesday, I'll be trying to get a bit of hand-tool work done in the next few days. All welcome to join me if you want.
