Status:
Green/Open

Not bad considering the amount of rain we've had. Bit damp, but everything is rideable.

Do you have more information?

If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.
Please do not post comments with such information - post a new update with the link above.

anywhere in sydney is a right-off at the moment, there's no way this trail should have a green light next to it!

"Do you have more information?"

If you don't agree with the light, post a status update to update it.

it rained almost non-stop for about 4 days across sydney last week. but i am not going to go through all the sydney trail pages and change them to red light sorry.

You don't have to go through all the Sydney trail pages, perhaps just this one you disagree with. In the time it took to post the comment you could have changed to amber (or red if you have been there and found the place completely unrideable) with a suitable comment.

Then perhaps someone else will update another. And a third person will update a few more, etc, etc. Have a look on the left, lots of amber and red so this must have been happening already.

This is a community based site - please don't complain when something isn't as you like, put in a little effort and be part of the community.

Thanks.

Did you actually go there and check? We rode there today and i would call the downhill section green.. there was one or two places or standing water but generally the track was very good.

Also checked out some of the XC but found that to be completely bogged up so that will take sometime before its rideable again.

on another point if anyone was out at Oxford falls mid to late today please see here:

Rob, I take your point. Selfish comments are not helpful on a community-based site. Can I suggest then that the trail status system be improved by only showing the status of trails which have been updated in the last 7 days?

Rob's picture

That's a fair call. When the system first started wasn't sure how well used it would be.

Because of that the expiry date on updates was 30 days. Obviously that is way too high as you say though. I'm happy to say a lot of people have got the hang of it now and updates are coming in regularly, so have changed that to 14 days.

Let's see how it goes. Something else to consider would be to put it back at 30 days but put some sort of indicator the traffic lights if they are over 7 days old. Something like dulling the light and putting a question mark there, or put cobwebs in the corner Eye-wink

why are you so keen to push the expiry period out?? i guess there would be less tracks available for viewing, yes, but the system would be much more reliable. i.e. akin to trading quantity for quality.

Given that most folks ride off road only on weekends, I think 7 days might be a bit short.
