The Pony Express is to be the new club DH track.

Officially it is only open to club members and on club days.

Bottom section crosses land leased by the Lithgow Pony Club. A lot of work, by both our organisations, has gone into getting this arrangement approved so don't stuff it up by being a tool.

If you come across a horse rider stop and dismount then walk you bike slowly past. If the horse acts up. stop and ask the rider what he/she wants you to do, then follow their instructions.

Where the trail comes out into the open paddock if there are people parked cars or horses please just get off and walk the 200-300 meters past the horse yards and then remount.

Skinny and the BARm crew have put a huge amount of work into building the trail and there will be regular maintenance days so chip in and lend a hand.

First weekend of the Month:

Please Note

On the first weekend of each month The Lithgow pony club have local events.
DO NOT, under any circumstance ride the trail on that weekend.

Pony club also occasionally hold events on other weekend. If you notice them there on your way up the hill do not ride the trail.

Your respect for Pony club wishes is greatly appreciated

Little disappointed at the rubbish left at the bottom of Pony Express. Chip packets, energy drink cans, water bottles. Not many but enough to look bad. This is our area, we are still under scrutiny and need to look after it. If you can cart in a full can of redbull you can cart out the empty. If you come across visitors despoiling our spot give them a serve. No one likes a tosser
