Due to the extreme weather conditions expected tomorrow, the southern and northern loops of the Garden will be CLOSED, including the mountain bike track. Took advantage of the later closing time over summer weekends for a late afternoon ride. Surprised when I left from the car park at 5.30pm there was not one other car in the car park - seemed to have the whole track to myself when I did a full lap then a lap of the Competent track in about an hour. If you are looking for quiet time to ride this track it looks like this is the time - just remember the track closes at 7pm. Whilst there were no other riders I dodged one snake (little brown), spotted two small roos and startled about 20 rabbits.
Not sure if track will be open Sunday given the fire danger - best to check the Gardens Facebook page.
